Single Petal of a Rose…………….

I was wondering what photo to feature today when I came across this I took a little while ago at the Botanical House at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park…………then I thought wouldn’t it be nice to find a suitable and appropriate  piece of music to bring the photo to life.

I then remembered a composition by Duke Ellington entitled “Single Petal of a Rose” which is part of a suite of music he composed for Queen Elizabeth 11 back in the late 1950s. This is Ellington playing solo piano and at his very best………….enjoy!
