Protest on the Cobbled Streets of Golcar by Young Eco Warriors!

I live on a narrow cobbled street in the village of Golcar, West Yorkshire and unfortunately some car (and van) drivers seem to think that is is part of a racing circuit given the speed they come down the road. We also get HGV vehicles trying to get down the road despite the fact there is a sign at each end of the street saying “unsuitable for HGV”

So when I looked out of the window this afternoon I found that a group of local kids had designed and made a protest banner which they had propped up on the street.

So well done to the protesters, namely Jimmy (the creative force behind the banner) ably supported by Mabel and Cyrus for lots of initiative and an attempt to bring a little sanity to our street but more importantly, safety. The future is safe when you have kids like these.
