On my recent visit to Vilnius I took a number of photographs of Vilnius castle which dominates the city and from which it is possible to take excellent panoramic photographs across the rooftops and the meandering River Neris.
The authorities had been doing a lot of renovation work in recent times and consequently the castle has been surrounded by scaffolding making it a rather unattractive site. So I was delighted to find that most of the scaffolding removed and the castle looking magisterial again.
It was also an opportunity to test out my new Pentax K30 camera with a Sigma 18-250 macro lens and in particular how it performed on full zoom.
I was quite pleased to capture the castle with the flag of Lietuva blowing in the breeze and some wispy clouds passing overhead.
