Setting sun and an aura of orange………………..

Driving home from Holmfirth last night after attending my photography group, I came up on top of the hills and the road is quite undulating. My colleague from the course was in the car with me and as we came over the brow of a hill we both saw this amazing sunset in the distance.

We looked at each other and said at virtually the same time “this is too good to miss” so I pulled over to the side of the road, out came the cameras (Nikon D5200 and my Pentax K50 which took the pictures below) and we began shooting. We had to work quickly as the sun was just beginning to drop over the hill. Anyway, this was what I saw:-
