The owner of a shop in north London named ‘Really British’ has hit back at claims that his store, which stocks “quintessentially British items,” is racist.
The shop, in Muswell Hill, opened to the public November 26 – and since then owner Chris Ostwald says he’s received a barrage of complaints.
He told local newspaper the Ham&High: “The shop is in no way meant to be ‘political’ or ‘pro Brexit’, but we have had a lot of complaints saying it is or we are ‘racist!”
“A guy came in the other day and said, ‘what’s this, a charity shop?’ and we said, ‘no, not at all’, and he said, ‘well it’s racist’, and stormed out.”
“People have been coming in and just tutting and walking out.”
It has also caused a storm on Twitter with the usual “lefties” throwing up their arms in disgust, being offended and mouthing platitudes about “multiculturalism” (which has been shown not to work), diversity (which means the indigenous white population respecting the rights of immigrants but should not expect the feeling to be reciprocated) and the usual twaddle spouted by the the PC / right on brigade. Possibly the best example of this is the Facebook posting shown below:
Note the patronising tone of the posting, the smug “not really British” comment and the virtue signalling “some will say I am over sensitive” breast beating. Is it any wonder the UK is in the state that it is with tosspots like this inhabiting our capital city. I suggest Mr Wright get out of the “London bubble” and visit a few places up north and see the negative effects of uncontrolled immigration. See the numerous shops with what he perceives to be “nationalistic titles” but I don’t see him commenting about that!
Notice also how he tries to link the shop and its title to the recent Brexit vote, well isn’t that a surprise? No doubt he is a Jezza supporter which would explain a lot!
