After a career in the education sector I switched to a role in HR working in the NHS for 10 years focusing primarily on Training and HR strategy. Subsequently, worked as a freelance Career Consultant working in seven UK universities, one in Israel and four in Lithuania.
Now semi-retired I still visit Lithuania about three times a year to work with students at Vilnius University as well as doing some work at Bradford University in a voluntary capacity. With more time on my hands I can now indulge my other real love which is photography, and I spend many days out photographing the local countryside and industrial heritage of West Yorkshire (particularly the Huddersfield Narrow Canal and the Yorkshire Sculpture Park).
My other real interest is music, from avant-garde jazz to the symphonic repertoire of such heavyweights as Bruckner, Mahler and Shostakovich. I also take a great interest in the role of women in classical music, hence you will see postings about female orchestral conductors and the appalling discrimination perpetrated against them.
I am also an ardent “Northern Soul” fan and spent a part of my youth at Wigan Casino but this was just prior to when northern soul became a “cult” in the early 1970s.
As you will see from the strap line on my blogs I place a great deal on individual freedom and refuse to be put in boxes so beloved of psychologists, hence the quote from the cult 1960s series “The Prisoner” of which I was a great fan.
Dear Kindadukish’s Blog,
I came across your blog and learned that you live in Vilnius. My company publishes an iPhone app consisting of self-guided walking tours in Vilnius. However, these walking tours were compiled three years ago and some of the information may be out of date. We are looking for people who currently live in Vilnius to review the tour content and give us feedback.
Would you be interested in reviewing our walking tours in Vilnius or posting a “Look for reviewers” announcement for us in your blog? We offer reward to people who send us feedback. The reviewers will receive gift codes for our iOS walking tours apps. Each gift code is good for a free walking tour iPhone app download, normally priced at US$4.99. We have walking tour apps covering all major cities in the world.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
Xena Copilova

I appreciate your piece on What Makes an Employee Highly Engaged! It references some great stats. You note: some radical new research shows. . . where are these stats sourced from? Whose research? I would like to incorporate in an upcoming talk I’m giving but would need to cite the source. Thanks!

Hi Michele, Thank you for your comments. I can’t remember where I got the starts from I think it may have been a management or CIPD journal. I will see if I can track them down and let you know. I am away for a few days now so I will try and get back to you next week.

Hi Kindadukish,
While this article is interesting, it doesn’t appear to indicate where the engagement chart information comes from. Thanks much for your follow up.
